Genesys Meeting Center in the Training Department at Total.*
In the Exploration Production division of Total, the New Methods Training Team, comprised of Patricia Roche and Johanna Sadoudi, uses Genesys Meeting Center audio and web conferencing service for the organization of e-learning training sessions. The New Methods Training Team uses Genesys Meeting Center for three primary purposes:
- Management of internal projects between teams located in Pau and Paris.
- Preparation of training content with both internal and external trainers.
- Putting in place e-learning distance learning sessions. The purpose of these weekly training sessions, which bring together colleagues working globally, is to share information and developments related to the exploration of oil and gas. Mrs. Roche, who previously had used a more limited distance collaboration tool, chose the Genesys Meeting Center integrated audio and web conferencing solution because of its ease-of-use.
"Now I have a tool that allows me to organize a true distancemeeting and to share documents in only seconds, all via the Internet," said Mrs. Roche.
"We also use many of the functionalities of the web interface, such as presenting slides online, application sharing, voting, surveying, handing over meeting control. We'll soon integrate video into our meetings, thanks to a webcam" added Mrs. Sadoudi.
A Genesys customer since 2003, Mrs. Roche appreciates the time and productivity gains brought by distance communication tools, which enable her to host meetings and training sessions with greater structure and organization. Genesys Conferencing would like to thank the New Methods Training Team at Total for their continued confidence in our services.

Deutsche Bank* improves daily communication with Genesys Meeting Center
When the EURO became legal tender, this dramatically affected the banking industries that buy, sell and trade in various currencies. Systems had to be changed to accommodate the new currency. Deutsche Bank needed to contact their offices worldwide on a day to day basis before and during the transition period. Genesys Meeting Center provided Deutsche Bank with an effective and convenient means of day to day communication with their subsidiaries.
"When we met with Genesys Conferencing we felt we had found a true innovator, with a product that really met our needs," said Ian O'Bryan, EMU Coordinator at Deutsche Bank.
Using Genesys Meeting Center allowed the conference moderator to manage his audio conference via his PC and have a visual display of the conference on his PC screen.
"Having a visual representation of who is on the conference call gives a true feeling of being in a 'conference room.' It adds a visual dimension to an audio conference call. We could identify participants and track 'movements' of conference call participants," said O'Bryan.
Deutsche Bank improved communication with its global staff at a critical point in time. They maintained complete control of their conference calls with Genesys Meeting Center.
* Deutsche Bank is one of the world's leading international financial service providers. With approximately EURO 972 billion in assets, 63,800 employees and financial services in 74 countries, they rank among the global leaders in corporate banking and securities.

Goodwill Industries of Orange County, internal communications and Genesys Meeting Center.*
As a national volunteer organization, Goodwill Industries of Orange County (GIOC) found it difficult to keep all divisions up to date on projects and activities as well as keep internal communications costs down. The sales and operations departments as well as the risk management and marketing departments are in constant touch with various other branches of the company.
The major reason GIOC selected Genesys Conferencing was because of the vast amount of money it would save them. GIOC would have access to a high quality network, without having to pay outrageous prices each month. Another major advantage Genesys had over its competitors was its superior customer support.
GIOC finds that the biggest benefit is how effortless the service is to use. Managers never need a reservation and can always use the same phone number and password. They just log on without the hassle of dealing with an operator or making sure they are using the correct code for the meeting. The flexibility and intuitive service helps GIOC more effectively manage its group of operation managers. The company also appreciates how Genesys is looking into the future and has been receptive to customer feedback. GIOC plans for its managers to use the web collaboration offering of Genesys Meeting Center, as this feature will greatly enhance the productivity of its meetings.
* Goodwill Industries of Orange County (www.ocgoodwill.org) is a nationally recognized non-profit organization. They work to empower those in need to become self-sufficient in today’s rapidly evolving society.
